The Frisco Independent School District is starting a new program called Frisco Flex starting the 2026-2027 school year.
Frisco Flex is a virtual learning program for high school students across Texas. Students can choose to either fully go to an online school curriculum or do a hybrid of in person with online school.
“I think that I would do Frisco Flex, like the online school and in person school together, because it would give me more free time during the day to do schoolwork,” sophomore Joanna Han said.
Every student has different learning styles that would help them be successful in the future.
“If it’s a hard class, I would prefer to do it in person because it would be easier to understand the concepts,” freshman Lakshmi Valvala said. “But if it’s an easier class then it would be easier for me to do it online.”
For some students, the decision to do Frisco Flex is a move to help improve and understand some of the classes they take easier.
“I am taking Frisco Flex next year because I think it will be easier for me to take math classes online and I wanted to try something different.” sophomore Anumitia Pandit said.
Frisco Flex can also help students control how and what courses they want to take online to help them.
“I think Frisco Flex is a good program and option for students who want to do school differently and get to decide how they want to learn in the future,” freshman Hasini Battieni said.
